This south side suburban cult plays host to one of Chicagoland's finest Chinese buffets. Be prepared to wait! Freshly made tempura, maki, seafood, traditional chinese stews and their infamous egg rolls all make an appearance on this daily buffet. Started in a store front, Chi Tung has enjoyed wild success over the years. Actually moving to its newer, larger location for expansion reasons. The tempura brings me back to my days studying abroad in Japan. The egg rolls are unmatched, filled a tasty cabbage, peanut butter, ham and shrimp mixture, then fried in real peanut oil. The aroma is intoxicating. The egg roll and its orange-colored sauce are pure harmony. We each took a few plates of the buffet food, one is never enough. Can't wait to come back!
